Thank You: 30+ Years of Backyards, Built on Trust

We build a lot of pools. We open and close even more of them every spring and fall. But every once in a while, it’s worth stepping back from the day-to-day, the water testing, the liner replacements, the excavation schedules and simply saying thank you.

Over the past several months, our customers have taken the time to leave us five-star reviews on Google, just because they wanted to share their experience. Some of those customers have known us for thirty years. Some just met us this spring. All of them took the time to write something honest, and we wanted to give those words a home beyond a search results page.

So this post isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a thank you, organized around the things our customers keep telling us matter most: the trust that builds over decades, the craftsmanship behind a new backyard, the relationship that continues long after installation, and the people who show up to make it all happen.

Two Decades (and More) of Trust

A pool is a big decision, and it’s not one people make more than once or twice in a lifetime. So when a customer tells us they’ve been with us for 15, 20, even 30 years, that’s the review that means the most.

Sandy Darke has been a Jones Pools customer for over three decades:

“They have been servicing my pool for over 30 years! Excellent Service! Every time I called with a problem/concern someone either talked me through it or came over to fix it! They are trustworthy, knowledgeable, quick to respond… They have become part of my ‘family.'”

Paul Steckham put his pool in the ground twenty years ago, and we’re still the ones he calls:

“Twenty years ago, we had the pleasure of working with Jones Pools when they designed and installed our pool. Our pool has been the focal point in our backyard resulting in a lot of family fun over the years… Their commitment to customer satisfaction is second to none.”

Bethany Henriques had her original Jones Pools pool installed 25 years ago and then, in one of our favourite stories, moved to Uxbridge years later and discovered her new house also had a Jones-built pool waiting for her:

K W, also coming up on 25 years with us before a move to Port Perry, summed it up simply: “Jones definitely builds a pool to last.” And Rachel Albanese, a Jones family member for over 15 years, told us she still looks forward to the annual email about opening day. That’s the kind of relationship we’re proud to have built, one backyard at a time, across York Region.

From Blueprint to Backyard Oasis

Longevity means nothing if the original work isn’t done right. These reviews are from customers who trusted us with a full custom build and who are still happy with the result years later.

Alexander D. did his homework before choosing us for a new salt water pool build in the spring of 2026:

“After doing extensive research and getting several quotes, we decided to go with Jones Pools… They weren’t the cheapest option, but their reputation and decades in business made us comfortable that we were making the right choice… At no point during the build did we question whether we had made the right choice.”

Michelle McBeth brought us in for extensive grading, retaining walls, a full pool install with decking and a cabana — and five years later, it still shows:

Custom pool design, stamped concrete patios,  composite decking, cabanas, full landscape integration, whatever the scope, the goal is the same: build it right the first time, so it’s still something our customers are proud of five, ten, twenty-five years later.

The Relationship Doesn’t End at Installation

Some of our favourite reviews aren’t about the pool build at all, they’re about everything that comes after: water testing, seasonal openings and closings, equipment repairs, and the year-round maintenance that keeps a backyard oasis actually enjoyable.

Jennifer Thorson has trusted us with her water testing for six years:

“The office staff is amazing, knowledgeable and practical. I never feel like I’m being ‘sold’ water treatments I don’t need. My calls for service are addressed promptly and I feel like my backyard oasis is in great hands.”

Cindy Novak has worked with us for more than a decade, through liner replacements, filter and heater repairs, and now weekly pool maintenance:

The People Behind the Reviews

If there’s one theme that runs through nearly every review, it’s not the pools — it’s the people. Over and over, our customers didn’t just thank “Jones Pools.” They thanked specific team members by name.

They thanked Ryan Jones, who one customer said “even came to my house on a Sunday to draw his idea on my lawn” to help visualize the design, and who Ann Smith credited by name for a sales experience she called the best she’s had. They thanked Mark, praised for always giving clear, responsive answers throughout a build. They thanked Amy, who runs the office and — as one customer fondly recalled — once called at 10:00 p.m. on a Friday just to make sure everything was right. They thanked Shirley, Peter, Brittany, and Lindsay, the familiar voices customers say they’ve come to know by name over years of seasonal openings, closings, and service calls.

That’s not an accident. It’s the reason customers stay with us for fifteen, twenty, thirty years: the same trusted faces, year after year, who treat every backyard like it matters.

New to the Jones Family

Not every review comes from a decades-long customer — and we’re just as grateful for the newest ones. Ari Ekstein and Katherine Daniaev both recently completed builds and highlighted our flexibility and responsiveness throughout the process. Angelo Blueizs told us we “transformed our tired old pool into a beautiful, modern space,” and Ann Smith said simply that her backyard is now “my very favourite place to be.” Dana Middleton, Alan Greenberg, and Sue Byer each praised the craftsmanship and after-care that followed their installs — proof that the same standard applies whether it’s your first season with us or your thirtieth.
